Shaun's morning commute

Shaun had quite the morning commute today.  He was driving south on
the 101 and was almost at his exit when a box fell out of the truck in
front of him.  He had no other option but to hit the box.  The next thing
you know he hears a screeching sound and figures he must be dragging
the box under his car.  But with nowhere to pull over, he keeps driving and
figures he'll check at his exit.  At this point other drivers begin honking at
him and motioning for him to get off the road.  Eventually he makes his way
to the side of the road where he realizes smoke is coming out of the hood.  He turns the car off and flames begin shooting out of the hood next.  Grabbing his laptop he gets out and heads on foot away from the car at a fast pace.  The next thing you know, the whole front end is in flames.  It took two fire trucks to put out the fire.  Nothing was left of the front of the car, even the tires completely melted.  Luckily Shaun was okay and had plenty of time to get out.  The car on the other hand was totaled.  Time for
a new car!
